Feeling cooped up? So are we! We've been brainstorming ways to offer private events and classes while keeping everyone's safety in mind -- and we've landed on something we're really excited about!
Plan a date night, a fun family event or a small girls night out!
We have converted our small retail space into a private paint pour classroom! This room has a large 2-way window connecting it to our staff workspace. We will teach from the other side of the glass, decreasing face-to-face contact significantly.
What will the workshop look like?
We can accommodate small groups of 2-6 people. We will greet you (with masks) at the workshop entrance closest to the classroom. Once we introduce ourselves and show you where to find the bathroom, we will separate ourselves to the other side of the window.
Prior to the instructional portion of the event, you will have 45 minutes to hang out and socialize with your fellow attendees. We encourage you to pack a "picnic" or grab some take out from a local restaurant. The room will be equipped with hand sanitizer, paper towels, and disinfectant spray for guests to use as needed. If eating in the space, you'll dispose of any food items in a designated garbage receptacle which we will empty and sanitize between workshops. (Restaurant suggestions will be emailed to you in your confirmation email)
The second half of your time will include:
- An overview of paint pouring from your expert instructor
- Two small scrap pieces of wood on which to practice your pouring techniques
- Pouring your project
- Painting your background
- Staining your framing
Your instructor will be available to answer questions, provide guidance and address problems throughout the workshop.
You will leave your project at the workshop. Once it is dry, it will be expertly epoxied and mounted. It will be finished in approximately 2 weeks. You will then have the option to pick up your finished project or pay for shipping.
How much does it cost?
Your $50 booking fee will reserve the workshop for 90 minutes (up to 4 people) or 120 minutes (5-6 people). Each guest will then register online for their own project to complete during the workshop. We have a range of paint pouring size and design options. Projects start at $50.
Masks will be required for attendance (except when eating). Anyone not wearing a mask will be asked to leave. We will have disposable masks available for purchase if you forget to bring one.
Our table coverings are plastic and paper and will be changed for each group. A rigorous sanitation of door handles and any other items guests share contact with will occur between events. We will provide hand sanitizer and we will have a fan running to promote airflow in the small class room. Gloves are provided for our paint pour classes and will be required during these private events.
We ask that if any member of your group is feeling ill, is awaiting COVID-19 testing results or suspects that they may have been exposed to COVID that you contact us ASAP to reschedule your event. We recognize that this situation is fluid, so we ask for only 2 hours notification prior to your scheduled event.
If we have any reason to believe that anyone with COVID has been in our workshop or your scheduled instructor meets any of the above criteria and we are unable to find a replacement, we will notify you ASAP.
All classes are non-refundable, but can be rescheduled or converted to a store credit.
